Programs & Services
The Day School serves approximately 170 students 3 to 21 years of age who reside on the south side of Chicago and southern suburbs. Beacon staff members are dedicated to advancing team work and accountability in providing programs for students who are autistic, cognitively delayed, learning disabled, emotionally/behaviorally disordered or speech/language impaired. Beacon also offers occupational therapy, vocational education, psychiatric services, psychological services, nursing, social work and counseling. In addition, Beacon offers an outpatient mental health center, intensive outpatient programs, and a shelter outreach service. Beacon is accredited with the North Central Association, Illinois State Board of Education, JCAHO and Medicaid.
