CCA Academy is a state-recognized, community-based high school founded in 1978. It serves 190 students. CCA Academy is a campus of the Youth Connection Charter School.
Programs & Services
Services that offer students opportunities to excel include a challenging curriculum, tutoring, counseling, case management for teen parents, a state-of-the-art science lab, computer lab with a comprehensive interactive curriculum, a college preparatory Upward Bound Program, a City Colleges of Chicago partnership that enables dual enrollment, culinary arts, a healthy foods and fitness program and two neighborhood gardens that afford community service opportunities.
Admissions
Most students 16 and older are selected by lottery and are eligible for full scholarships. Students 15 and under have an annual fee of $2,500, must test and be interviewed.
