Year-round, volunteer-based, one-on-one tutoring program serves out-of-school youth 16 and 17 years of age, and adults who read below the 9th grade reading level living in Woodlawn, Washington Park, Grand Grossing and South Shore communities. Parkway offers a self-paced, individualized curriculum that includes basic reading, writing, math, life skills and pre-GED preparation. Placement test and intake process is required by appointment. Students needing additional services are provided referrals to appropriate agencies.
